My experience of a Hair Restoration surgery |

Noticing my Hair LossWhen I was in High School, most of the guys had their hair cut short. That was the style at the time. I on the other hand liked having my hair long and flowing. It wasn’t until my first year of college when I first came upon the notion I might be losing my hair. I think I was about 19. My father is a Norwood 6 and my grandpa was too. I always had it in the back of my mind that I might go bald, but one never wants to think it will happen to them. Also, at the time my hair looked fine, so all was good. Trying Rogaine At 19 and starting to face the fact I was losing some hair I went out and bought generic Rogaine (Minoxidil). I remember using it mostly around the hairline and a little on the crown. It did slow downthe amount of hair that I was losing. After a few months of using it I just kind of stopped. I guess I was convinced I had enough hair that I didn’t need Rogaine. If I were to go back in time I would tell myself to go see a Dermatologist and start taking Propecia! Ignoring the Obvious After I stopped Rogaine I just kind of started ignoring my hair loss. I can still remember seeing the strands of hair in the shampoo suds in my hands. From about age 19-21 I simply didn’t bother to make any efforts to combat my hair loss, even though I knew it was happening. This was also a time in my life when I was busy and stressed with college. Taking the Comments After college I had lived with a few different roommates. A lot of my friends would comment that I was losing my hair. That was obvious for me, but I still had a good amount of hair so the comments weren’t that insulting. One particular joke I remember was a friend saying that if he threw a baseball and hit me in the head, hair would fly out like the feathers of a bird. I took it in stride. Off and on during these few years I would use Rogaine for a few months then stop again. Discovering the Hairloss Talk Forums One day when I was about 23 I was surfing the internet
while at work. I was curious to see what other people were saying about
their own hair loss. I was also very curious to see if there were any
“natural” cures. I came across hairlosstalk.com/discussions.
I was immediately sucked into reading all Success Stories. I did notice
that people were getting great success with Propecia, Rogaine, and Nizoral
(the Big 3). I still wanted a natural solution though. ....continued
